Wow time flies... it's now term 2 and I haven't updated this for awhile!

Term one went well and term two has started well. On Saturday just gone 7 of my students sat their theory exam. For some of the students, it was their first exam ever! We now await the results...

Looking down at my last blog, I see I did my diploma theory exam... I was more than pleasantly surprised with the results, only getting 3 out of 450 wrong! And due to a number of things we didn't end up doing the Orewa Half Marathon either...

Term 1 begins next week... yahoo!

Along with a bit of transcribing over summer, I've completed the St. John First Aid course and sat my diploma in theory exam... now just awaiting the results! I have a number of new students this year which is so wonderful to see!

Can't wait for a final fun thing this weekend with my husband's family before kicking into routine with teaching and the gym. Warren and I, along with other family members are going to be working towards doing the Orewa Beach Half Marathon... although since it's our first time doing something like this and there's only 8 or 9 weeks to go, we're going to attempt the quarter marathon... he wants to run it and I will aim to walk it with my Mum.

Hello 2009!!!
Happy New Year everyone - hope you all managed to have a nice time and hopefully a good break over Christmas/New Years! After a weekend away in Taupo we had a relaxing time spending it with both my family and my husband's family at various times... was all good!

I'm really looking forward to this year and everything it will hold. Starting this week, I am booked in to do a First Aid Course with St. John and I'm really looking forward to it as I haven't been qualified for a few years now! I am enjoying the break from teaching over these Summer Holidays, but am also really looking forward to seeing some faces from last year and meeting new ones :-)

CD sales have been going really well and I totally praise God for how it's all worked out. Well we're now nearing the end of 2008 and what a year it's been. We released my CD a couple of weeks ago and sales are going really well - thank you so much to those have supported us by purchasing a copy. I really hope you're enjoying it! We've also just this last weekend celebrated my sister-in-law's wedding so that has been a busy time and I am now looking towards the two concerts for my students, one for my home students and one for the students I teach out at Orini School.

This may be the last time I write this year, so if so, I wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year with whatever you are doing and wherever you may be... and just remember Jesus Christ really is, the "reason for the season"!

My first entry into this news/blog page... as I write we are completing the upgrade to my website, as well as doing the final touches on my CD, music book and organising for it all to be printed - I am quite excited about it all really! It's looking like all will be ready for release on the 23rd November.

I am very excited by where God has taken me this year... at the beginning of the year, I was working in a government department, not having any idea that less than six months later I would be doing music things full time! This has been my dream and passion for many years, which I know that only God gave me... so I totally thank Him for where He has brought me this year!

I look forward to keeping this up to date with everything that's happening with my music things and look forward to your comments, feedback, communication, etc., etc!
